Casa Aurora

Casa Aurora
Guatemala City
Design by Diego Olivero Studio

Casa Aurora is a particularly meaningful project for our studio, as it brought together a diverse group of designers, galleries, and artists while we curated each space throughout the home. The process became a collaborative exploration of collectible design, where contemporary pieces sit alongside carefully sourced artworks and objects.

Located in Guatemala City, the residence spans approximately 1,200 square meters. The architecture embraces openness, allowing the garden to flow naturally into the interior spaces and creating a calm oasis within the city while remaining close to its urban energy.

The interiors were conceived as a layered collection of design discovered during trips to New York, Los Angeles, Guatemala City, and Mexico City. Furniture and objects by designers and studios such as Loui Venturelli, Devin Wilde, Mario Bellini for B&B Italia, Agnes Studio, MESO, Lawson-Fenning, En Place, and Lordag & Sondag are placed alongside pieces sourced from galleries and design platforms including Garde, The Window LA, Objects With Narratives, Proyectos Ultravioleta, CB2, and Lulu and Georgia.

Throughout the home, sculptural furniture, tactile materials, and distinctive artworks create a balance between collectible design and everyday comfort. The result is a residence that reflects a thoughtful approach to curation—where modern design, craftsmanship, and a sense of playfulness come together to form a warm and highly personal living environment.
